AHA approved courses

Four American Heart Association courses, delivered in the classroom by an AHA Instructors Network member. Every participant who successfully completes a course receives an AHA certification card.

Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers

The classroom course for healthcare professionals. Recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely, and effective manner.

Heartsaver CPR AED

Basic CPR skills: the head tilt-chin lift, compressions, and breaths. For anyone who wants to learn CPR and earn a Heartsaver course completion card. Child and infant CPR modules are optional.

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED

A classroom, video-based, instructor-led course covering the critical first minutes of a first aid, choking, or sudden cardiac arrest emergency until EMS arrives. Students learn to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock, and other first aid emergencies, plus adult CPR and AED use.

Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED

Designed to meet the regulatory requirements for child care workers in all 50 states. Covers the four steps of first aid, skills like stopping bleeding, bandaging, and using an epinephrine pen, plus child CPR AED and infant CPR, with optional adult and mask modules and asthma care training.
